Diagram Explaining how the RO works

How can getting an RO help to save the environment?

According to  the Container Recycling Institute, 86% of all Plastic Water Bottles in the US end up in our landfills which is very problematic.

  • Water bottles buried in landfills can take up to 1,000 years to biodegrade.
  • The bottles leak toxic additives into the groundwater.
  • Incinerating used bottles produces toxic byproducts such as chlorine gas and ash that contains heavy metals.

How does the RO Work?

It’s a four stage system. Has a sediment filter that traps sediment and other particulate matter like dirt, silt and rust which affect the taste and appearance of your water. The second stage is the carbon block filter, which helps to ensure that chlorine and chloramines are removed from your water. Stage three is the main part of the system, it is the RO membrane. This semi permeable membrane will take out TDS & Sodium and other contaminates such as Percolate, Chromium, Arsenic, Copper, Lead as well as Cysts, such as Giardia and Cryptosporidium and most important it removes E. Coli.  Because the process of extracting this high quality drinking water takes time, the RO system is equipped with a storage tank. The final stage is an in-line granular activated carbon (GAC) filter
